Much awaited Asus ZenWatch to come to India earlier next year. Taiwanese tech giant announced their first Android Wear powered smart wearable 'ZenWatch' on the annual IFA technology show in Berlin this year. The android wear powered ZenWatch can be paired with smartphones running Android 4.3 or higher and will come to Indian market in a price range below ₹20,000.
"It will be priced under Rs 20,000, though we are trying to bring the price down further. It will be competitively priced."
ZenWatch actually costs about $199 which is about ₹12,000. In ₹12,000, it is one of the cheapest wearable watch to be released in India. LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live, and the Motorola Moto 360 are on the ground for competition. They cost about ₹14,999, ₹15,900 and ₹17,999 respectively. So, ZenWatch is a great threat to them.
ZenWatch has a rectangular dial (made of steel) with a brown leather belt that gives the smartwatch a rich and elegant feel. It has a curved-display with a quick-release steel clasp. There are more than 100 different watch faces to choose from, including a range of digital faces and those which imitate the hands of a mechanical watch.
"We are still finalising the launch and pricing of ZenWatch. It will work with Android phones and we expect to bring it to India in the beginning of next year," Asus South Asia Regional Head and Country Manager (System Business Group India) Peter Chang told PTI.

The smartphone market is now becoming crowded with high-end, mid-range phones. Nexus 5, OnePlus One, Moto X, all come under this group. They seems to be earning quite a lot of attention. Now, there is a new player on this ground with some 'ground breaking' features at a mid-range price.
Linshof, a German technology company, is launching a new smartphone called Linshof i8 whcich comes with a wide range of unique specifications that we have been seen on any smartphone. "High-end hardware for a mid-range price", that's their motto.
When we look at the device for the first time, we can see that it is not a usual design. Device render shows some strange structure of the device which we have not seen. The device is small enough to hold comfortably. and only weighs below 140 g (including battery). The backside features brushed aluminum. The ports layout and smooth edges help to achieve more comfortable user experience.
When we look at the specs, we will just blown away. This device offers the finest facilities and features that a best smartphone can offer. It comes with a gorgeous 5” full HD display with 1920x1080 resolution which features Super AMOLED, color calibrated display, with beautiful true colors. To make it even spicier, it comes with an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.1 GHz with power-saving technology and a fully customizable overclocking feature. That's something great that it comes with overclocking feature so we can overclock the device just like we did on a rooted device (think so).
The unbelievable part is that, it comes with a monstrous 80 GB storage capacity which is more than enough juice to store data ranging from Full HD movies to documents and anything. That's a big storage capacity we don't find on any other other flagship phone.
It also comes with 3 GB fast clocked RAM and Linshof states that current system and applications cannot utilize beyond 3 GB and it is the maximum feasible amount. So there is plenty of apps can be worked out without any lagging issues. Power users are smiling right now.....
The camera it is offered is a 13 MP HD rear camera (28mm Wide-angle, fast low-light F1.8, Sony CMOS sensor) and 8 MP front camera. Both cameras are equipped with autofocus, HDR, face/smile detection and crispview functions. The divice is utra slim it comes with latest Android 5.0 (Lollipop) on board with super-responsive Linshof UI (Hardware accelerated) or optional Linux.
On the connectivity side, this device offers GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, electronic compass, gyroscope, HDMI 1.4 with 3D support, USB port, NFC and WiFi/ LTE (4G) wireless.
The power source of this monster is a 3100 mAh Lithium-Polymer ion battery which can power the phone for a day sufficiently.
" i8 is everything you need it to be and goes beyond a consumer device. It’s a true business tool. It meets enterprise-grade security requirements and runs smoothly, even while using the most demanding programs. "
Dr. Tomas Bencik, Linshof CEO
With all these super specs, Linshof i8 comes with a price tag of $380. That leaves a big competition to other flagship phones such as Samsung Galaxy S5, Nexus 6, OnePlus One, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Motorola Droid Turbo, Moto X and so many others. The pictures above only shows it's concept. Any dummy version is not available or the physical structure of this gadget is yet to be finalized.
With the i8, Linshof site also shows a tablet which they have not said anything about it. The tablet details can be found out here. The specs shows similarities in some features. Linshof says that they will release Linshof i8 by a date of Q1 2015.

Microsoft is working hard to get in top with their Windows Phone OS which sees some growth over the past couple of months. Even though Microsoft owns popular Windows OS or Xbox or any other things, they are still need to get a name on the minds of people which they remember, use it everywhere and every time. This is the part which is to be played by what is called, a 'Smart Watch'!
Microsoft is still lacking a perfect smart watch. Recently, they released their smart band called 'Microsoft Band'. Microsoft still need to get a good market with a great smart watch which in terms of satisfies the users by making them fell that they are using a smartphone in a smart watch.
Microsoft has all gone 'Metro' now. Since they have introduced the Windows 8 or Surface tablets, Microsoft is all gone flat and metro design. So, here is a Windows Watch concept design which has imagined by Deani Hansen from Denmark has shown below.
" This is more of an UI concept rather than a device concept and it feels very user-friendly. We’ve got transparent tiles, small little squares that stand for apps and services, including Nokia HERE and Skype. Cortana is included as well, plus some camera shortcuts, probably triggering cameras on Lumia devices, with the watch as remote. I noticed that apps are crazy simple in design, going as far as to show them with mere white highlights.
Even the crazy iOS 7 would be jealous of this approach. There’s a Health feature here, multitasking with square thumbnails for apps and a very pretty phone calling area, with an enlarged view of the caller’s avatar. You can also text a reply when someone is calling. Now just imagine a smartwatch that features the same design as the Surface tablets, but in a minimal version. "
Actually, this squared smart watch render is pretty good with Windows OS on board.
By the release of Windows 10 to all users (for PC users as well as Windows Phone 8.1 users), there is a possibility of a smart watch to be released by Microsoft. What we can do is to wait.
OnePlus One is launching in India pretty soon. They are teasing their entry as OnePlus is making the entry so grand. It is the most awaited device that we all call it "The Flagship Killer"!
To make the launch even interesting, OnePlus has started a campaign in their forums and the first 100 will get their first India specific invites for the phone.
" To show our appreciation to our friends in India, this contest will award 100 winners with the first India-specific invites for the OnePlus One. Enter to win by creating a “Never Settle statement.” Your statement can be anything that begins with #NeverSettle, such as “#NeverSettle for less than the best.” or “#NeverSettle for boring.” Post a picture of yourself holding your statement to enter the contest. "
Amazon India is also teasing the device as it will be an Amazon Exclusive. Since more of the E-Commerce websites in India is following the 'Exclusive Launch - Only available on.....' strategy, OnePlus One will only be available in India through Amazon. Xiaomi, Micromax, Xolo and couple of other smartphone companies are now owing the flagship competition in India. Now, there is a new contender for them with more features and less cost.
