Home-bred technology firm Notion Ink on Thursday announced that the company's flagship Windows 8.1 OS powered tablets Cain 10 and Cain 8 will be made available at popular online store Flipkart in India.

"Cain has proven to be our most successful product till date and we have gone out of stock three times since the launch. Both Cain 10 and Cain 8 have garnered high rating in customer reviews, which is very encouraging for us. Our association with Flipkart, will enable an increased exposure of our products to reach our strategic customers, plan out inventories better and provide even better services," said Manish Giri, COO, Notion Ink.

He added "Notion Ink is currently the largest 2-in-1 seller in India online and we aim to become overall category leader by the end of 2015. As a start-up we have received tremendous support from our partners and are thankful to them for making Cain series a success," he added.

Notion Ink Cain 10 sports 10.1-inch IPS LCS screen with 1,280x800p resolutions and runs on the Microsoft's Windows 8.1 OS (upgradable up to Windows 10 update) powered by 1.83 GHz Intel Bay Trail CR 3735F quad-core CPU with 2GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory and a 7,900mAh battery.
On the other hand, Cain 8 too house almost same specifications except a few. It features smaller 8.0-inch IPS LCS screen and ship with 4,900mAh battery.

Prospective consumers can book Cain 10 and Cain 8 at Flipkart for ₹19,990 and ₹9,990 respectively.

Asus announced it's PadFone Mini (PF400CG) for India. Asus announced this at the CES 2014. It's a different device in the smartphone business. It is a smartphone as well as a tablet. We can convert it into a tablet. Just place it into the tablet dock and voila....! It is now a tablet. Asus released its newest PadFone edition in India. It includes a smartphone unit and a tablet dock. 




As far as the specification goes, the smartphone part of the PadFone Mini comes with a 4-inch 480x800 IPS+ touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera, a 2 MP front snapper, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD, 3G support with dual-SIM, and a 1,170 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. At the helm is an Intel Atom Z2560 chipset with a 1.6 GHz dual-core CPU.


The tablet dock weighs 260g and features a 7-inch 1,280x800 IPS+ display, and a 2,100 mAh battery. The phone weighs 116g.

Isn't it great that we could charge our phone battery in less than a minute? Have you ever dreamed of it? Well, here is a revolutionary technology made on the ground of nanotechnology. An Israel company developed this ground breaking invention. The company 'StoreDot', based in Tel Aviv, says that electric cars can even charge it's battery within minutes. They are not only made a battery charger, but also a 'super battery' which charges quickly and lasts the charge for a long time.

For this revolution in battery technology, StoreDot gets lots of investors including a mobile company (name is yet unknown). Doron Myersdorf,  Founder and CEO of StoreDot says that the company has acquired funds of about $64 million. Roman Abramovich, Russian millionaire and owner of Chelsea Football Club, is an investor in the company.

The battery work on the basis of nanotechnology. Nanodots accepts charge instantaneously and remains power for a long period. The current prototype is a bit expensive but company says that by 2016, the new battery will come in the form of batteries we use now.



Myersdorf says that their next vision on this technology is to make car batteries which will charge in 2 or 3 minutes!

Today, Google added seven new Android apps on Chrome Web Store. Five of the seven apps ready to install today and those include Cookpad Recipes, Couchsurfing, HomeAway, OverDrive and PackPoint. The remaining one app has yet to be displayed for public which is a music messaging app Rithm.


Couchsurfing is the most awaited one of all. This travel app is a big community which has over 9 million travelers around the world. So, this holiday can be made into an exciting adventure.

These apps are entering into Chrome with Vine, duolingo and more. More and more Android apps are being added to Chrome and we would like to see more and more quality and popular Android apps added to Chrome.

"We are still finalising the launch and pricing of ZenWatch. It will work with Android phones and we expect to bring it to India in the beginning of next year," Asus South Asia Regional Head and Country Manager (System Business Group India) Peter Chang told PTI.
