HTC, in their Facebook page said that they will be updating their flagship phones, One M8 and M7 to Android 5.0 Lollipop within 90 days. HTC said that they received the source code from Google and they are working on it.
It's strange that Google should have been given the Android source code to OEM's afterall Nexus 9 is made by HTC. Even then they get the source code now. Their facebook page says thet they will surely update the devices within 90 days.
The exact date or time of the update is unknown anyway be sure to check for updates.
